About the painting

Beautiful Blue Circular Fish Water colour painting of Inanga (Whitebait) by artist Kiri Jones.
Circles are a simple and enduring icon, they symbolize time, nature and cycles.

The ‘Symphony in Blue’ artworks follow on from the original painting ‘When the symphony begins’.
Here’s a little bit about that original artwork:
‘When the Symphony begins’ was originally painted to contribute to a charity auction to help the McKenzie Centre, a special education facility that helps our middle child who has disabilities.

The circle design represents the nature of our experience of time. I named it ‘When the symphony begins’ because I think every person’s life, whether they are disabled or not is its own symphony. My daughter’s symphony is unique to her with its own patterns and beauty.
